Prior to joining Alignment Healthcare, Dr. Wolk worked as a hospitalist in multiple health systems, before returning to Medstar Georgetown University Hospital (MGUH) as an assistant program director in the Internal Medicine Residency program. Dr. Wolk also served as regional hospitalist manager for MedStar Health. Dr. Wolk had a leading role in quality and safety for MedStar before joining Alignment Healthcare in the fall of 2014. Dr. Wolk graduated from Colby College in Waterville, Maine, and attended the University of California Davis School of Medicine. He did both his residency and chief residency at Georgetown University School of Medicine. Go back to Team Chutimar Altizer North Carolina Market President Chutimar Altizer is president of North Carolina market operations for Alignment Healthcare. As North Carolina market president, she is responsible for market financial performance and oversees Alignment’s Medicare Advantage operations in North Carolina, as well as the integration of Alignment’s successful clinical model with its provider and health plan partners in the state. She joined Alignment Healthcare in 2015 and prior to her current role, served as regional vice president for North Carolina. Ms. Altizer has over 20 years of managed care experience. She spent 16 years with Cigna in many roles within the organization, including that of assistant vice president, where she served as one of the market leads in provider contracting for North and South Carolina. Before joining Cigna, Ms. Altizer spent many years on the delivery side of health care as a critical care nurse, specializing in cardiac care, at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Ms. Altizer holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Maryland University College, as well as a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Austin Peay State University. She loves volunteering at her church, Apex United Methodist, where she has served on the food ministry for many years and which enables her to utilize her culinary skills to make meals for others.
